The ISEE is a not-for-profit, member-governed, transdisciplinary partnership. It recognises “that our economy is part of a finite biosphere and needs to respect its ecological limits” and works to assists its members in “matters of common concern as can be dealt with more effectively by united action.” To accomplish this aim, they publish “a research journal, books, and other materials; holds and sponsors scientific meetings; develops educational materials; and facilitates a voice for ecological economists in public forums.”
