This centre aims to contribute to a better understanding of the key contemporary security and diplomatic challenges of the 21st Century and their impact on Europe, reaching out to the policy community that will ultimately need to handle such challenges. The centre’s expertise in international politics and security studies seeks to establish comprehensive theoretical and policy coverage of strategic competition and its impact on Europe, with particular attention to the transatlantic relationship and the wider Indo-Pacific region. It’s based at the Brussels School of Governance and it’s an alliance between the Institute for European Studies (Vrije Universiteit Brussel) and Vesalius College,
