A UK public body established to strengthen democracies globally. Operating in over 30 countries and territories, WFD collaborates with parliaments, political parties, electoral bodies, and civil societies. The organization is governed by a board comprising MPs from major UK political parties and independent experts. WFD, believing in the necessity of strong democracies for prosperity and protection of rights and freedoms, works to make political systems more fair, inclusive, and accountable. Additionally, it researches to enhance the evidence base for and quality of democracy support.
