The primary mission of the JHGC is to raise awareness about genocide, focusing on educating the public about the Holocaust and the 1994 genocide in Rwanda. The center also explores the historical aspects of genocide in the 20th century. It features permanent exhibitions and regularly hosts rotating displays on genocide, ethnic violence, and xenophobia. In addition to publications and resources, the JHGC offers a wide range of educational programs and initiatives to preserve memory.
