Its purpose is to explore how advances in science and technology can most effectively benefit humanity. It seeks to connect the digital revolution with other disruptive fields of science and diplomacy organizations. By leveraging the anticipatory power of science with diplomatic organizations and citizens in Geneva and around the world, GESDA aims to anticipate, accelerate, and implement emerging science-driven topics. It was established by the Swiss Federal Council, the Canton, and the City of Geneva

HIGHLIGHTS:

  • Science Breakthrough Radar – A digital tool providing an overview of science trends and breakthrough predictions at 5, 10, and 25-year intervals in 37 emerging science and technology topics. It contains 336 breakthrough predictions at different time horizons and serves as a resource for informed discussions, concerted action, and multilateralism.
