The Cornucopia Institute is a non-profit organization seeking “economic justice for the family-scale farming community.” It strives to “empower farmers – partnered with consumers – in support of ecologically produced local, organic and authentic food” through “research, advocacy, and economic development.” CI also engages in “educational activities supporting the ecological principles and economic wisdom underlying sustainable and organic agriculture” in order to provide “needed information to farmers, consumers and the media.”
