It conducts independent research on the political, economic, and social situation in Central and Eastern Europe, the Balkans, the Caucasus, and Central Asia. It was created in response to the need for analytical research on the political developments in the Soviet Union and the states that emerged following its collapse. The center is fully funded by the Polish state budget and provides insights to Polish decision-makers, the media, and the public who want to understand these regions’ complex challenges.
