It’s dedicated to studying international migration, with a focus on the USA. It publishes estimates on the size and characteristics of the US undocumented and naturalization-eligible populations at national, state, and sub-state levels. With a mission to promote understanding between immigrants and receiving communities and advocate for public policies that protect the dignity and rights of migrants, refugees, and newcomers. It also publishes two journals: the International Migration Review and the Journal on Migration and Human Security.
