Is a nonprofit think tank that provides research and development services in Washington, D.C. and the United Kingdom. It focuses on the links between developing countries and the governments, institutions, and corporations that can help them deliver greater progress. CGD conducts economic research and analysis on aid effectiveness, climate change, education, globalization, health, migration, and trade. Its rigorous analyses are meant to shape intellectual debate, design practical policy solutions then promote them to the world’s decision makers thus reducing global poverty and improving lives. Its motto is “Ideas to Action: Independent research for global prosperity”.
