It is an open collaborative forum affiliated with the UK Forestry Department. It hosts groups of “individuals, professionals and organisations from both the private and public sectors who have come together to increase awareness of the role of trees in the built environment.” The group  facilitates “cross-sector and cross-disciplinary dialogue and projects promoting the role of the urban forest throughout the United Kingdom.”
