It brings policymakers, business leaders, and representatives of media and academics together to discuss global problems. The Commission’s countries and members share common values and a commitment to the rule of law, open economies, societies, and democratic principles. While the Commission has traditionally focused on geopolitical trends and challenges, it has recently expanded its scope to examine issues affecting individual countries’ ability to play traditional leadership roles in the international system.

  • Task Force on Global Capitalism in Transition Report (June 2022, 56p) – A report identifying three significant challenges for market-based economies: climate change, digital revolution disruptions, and rising inequalities. Calls for a new “Social Compact with the Next Generations”, prioritizing equal opportunity and suggests steps for governments, businesses, and nonprofit institutions to achieve critical common goals.
