It launched in 2015 and raised US$100 million in funding in early 2019. The firm’s focuses on investing in five areas: “Food Tech” (novel forms of production), CPG (consumer packaged goods), “Cellular Ag” (advanced fermentation and tissue engineering, Convenience (distribution systems), and Exploration (new approaches). Notable companies in its portfolio include Beyond Meat, Memphis Meats, and Blue Nalu.
