It is promoting and strengthening democratic institutions worldwide. Each year, NED provides over 2,000 grants to non-governmental organizations working towards democratic goals in more than 100 countries. The core institutes of NED support unions, political parties, and business groups, enabling people to shape their future.

HIGHLIGHTS:
- International Forum For Democratic Studies – A center for analysis and discussion connecting academic research with democracy in action through various initiatives, including publishing the Journal of Democracy, providing fellowship programs, and hosting events. The Forum also facilitates dialogue on contemporary challenges to democracy, such as transnational corruption and authoritarian influence, through its Power 3.0 blog and other products.
- Sharp Power Research Portal – A project of the National Endowment for Democracy’s International Forum for Democratic Studies, acting as a resource hub to understand how authoritarian regimes impact societies and institutions beyond their borders.
