KAS promotes and safeguards peace, freedom, and justice through domestic and international political education. It supports and defends the principles of liberal democracy, the social market economy, and the development and consolidation of shared values. Addresses various societal challenges by establishing platforms in different regions. It has a significant presence in Northeast Asia, where it tackles important geopolitical issues and contributes to addressing common regional and global challenges. The political foundation is closely associated with the Christian Democratic Union of Germany (CDU).
