It’s an interdisciplinary unit that conducts research on environmental issues and serves as a hub for engagement with the wider community. Its mission is to organize and promote interdisciplinary research on the nature, causes, and impact of environmental change, as well as contribute to the development of management strategies for coping with future environmental change.

Its research focuses on understanding the dynamics of environmental systems and human-environment interactions, developing predictive models and tools to support decision-making, and engaging with stakeholders to link knowledge with action.
