Its research is centered on national and international politics, social as well as political trends of thought, development modes, and socialist theories. CCCWS has partnerships with various think tanks, political parties, and research institutes worldwide with which it actively conducts academic exchanges and discussions. The center publishes a yearly CCCWS Yearbook and produces a monthly journal in Chinese entitled The Contemporary World which discusses international relations and world issues.
