CCST, an initiative of the Stellenbosch University, is a transdisciplinary center of research and teaching. It seeks to address the challenges hindering environmental and social sustainability. It applies research themes such as social-ecological resilience to empirical research fields revolving around food systems, water systems, energy systems, and urban systems. The center also offers a number of learning opportunities ranging from masters and PhDs to Postdoctoral research fellowships and short sustainability-focused courses.
