Ecosystem Integrity Fund

Ecosystem Integrity Fund (2010, San Francisco; 5 staff;

A sustainability-focused venture capital firm for start-ups and young companies contributing to environmental sustainability.  Sustainability is seen as “fundamentally about making things better: more efficient, more functional, less toxic, less costly.”  They view it as the next phase of the industrial revolution, and seek to slowly “remove obstacles to systemic change, and to put in place building blocks that enable greater systemic change over time.”  Initial investments range from $2m-$5m and their current portfolio lists 16 companies.
