A research and policy center on economic development in low- and middle income countries, with a particular emphasis on transition in the former Soviet Union and Central and Eastern Europe. It has a focus on transition and development economics that aims “to serve as a bridge between the academic community and policy makers. To promote communication and the sharing of ideas SITE regularly organizes policy oriented conferences and seminars”.
