A certification body that promotes responsible production, processing and trading of soy on a global level. Their mission is to encourage that “current and future soybean is produced in a responsible manner to reduce social and environmental impacts while maintaining or improving the economic status for the producer.”  Promotes responsible production, processing and trading of soy on a global level.  Asserts that members include “the main representatives of the soy value chain and members of civil society from around the world.”  Seeks to be a forum for its 200+ widely diverse members to “get together with a common purpose, thus assuring dialogue and decision-making by consensus.”  They established the RTRS Standard and  RTRS Certification in South America that “assures that soy, either as a raw material or as a by-product, was originated from a process that is environmentally correct, socially adequate and economically viable.”
