An international, interdisciplinary center for research and education in the environmental humanities and social sciences. It facilitates research on the interaction between human agents and nature. Its goal is to strengthen the role of the humanities in current political and scientific debates about the environment. The RCC provides a forum for examining the interrelationship between environmental and social changes.

  • HIGHLIGHTS:
    • Environment & Society Portal – An open-access digital archive and publication platform . Its goal is to make environmental humanities research accessible to academic communities and the general public worldwide. With over one million users, the Portal offers peer-reviewed born-digital publications like Arcadia and Virtual Exhibitions and the retired RCC Perspectives journal.
