The Peace Action, Training and Research Institute of Romania (PATRIR) works on “peacebuilding, peace support operations, prevention, post-war stabilization, and peace consolidation.” It partners up with “communities, countries, and national and international organizations to make peacebuilding and the constructive transformation of conflicts the basis for sustainable peace.”  It is made up of 3 Departments: The Department of Peace Operations (DPO), the International Peace and Development Training Center (IPDTC), and the European Peace Department (EPD).
