World Fair Trade Organization

The World Fair Trade Organization is an association that’s made up of 401 organizations. As a whole, they aim “to enable producers to improve their livelihoods and communities through Fair Trade”. Their FTO Mark helps to identify companies which are committed to Fair Trade, and through a self assessments, external verification, and mutual review, are found to be implementing the WFTO standards on wages, the environment, labor and working conditions. The association operates in a 5 key regions (the Pacific Rim, Africa, and North America, Latin America, Europe and Asia) and it has more than 70 member countries.
