The UN World Food Programme (WFP) is world’s “leading humanitarian organization”. In 1965, WFP became a fully-fledged UN programme, to last for “as long as multilateral food aid is found feasible and desirable”. It’s efforts focus on “emergency assistance, relief and rehabilitation, development aid and special operations.”  They also help “countries and the most vulnerable and food insecure communities manage natural resources sustainably.”
