UN-Energy

UN-Energy (2004; www.un-energy.org)

Is an “interagency mechanism within the system of the United Nations.” It is a small entity and hasn’t gained the status of being a program. It aims to “create a coherent approach towards a sustainable energy system, especially in developing countries.” To this end, UN-Energy reviews “energy-related activities within the UN system and tries to mainstream them into a broader approach.”
