UN-Energy

UN Energy (2004; www.un-energy.org)

UN-Energy is an “interagency mechanism within the system of the United Nations.” It’s a very small entity and hasn’t gained the status of being a programme. UN Energy’s purpose is to “create a coherent approach towards a sustainable energy system especially in developing countries.” To this end, UN-Energy reviews “energy-related activities within the UN system and is trying to mainstream them into a broader approach.”
