Works in “170 countries to end poverty and reduce inequality.” In September 2015, “world leaders adopted the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development to end poverty, protect the planet and ensure that all people enjoy peace and prosperity.” The UNDP strives to support “countries in their efforts to achieve the Sustainable Development Goals” by developing the “policies, leadership skills, partnering abilities and institutional capabilities” necessary to “sustain development results”.

  • It publishes research as well as annual reports, and has a blog.
  • HIGHLIGHTS:
    • Gender, Climate and Security (June 2020, 52p): “assesses entry points for integrated action across existing global agendas and suggests concrete recommendations for how policymakers can advance peace and security, climate action and gender equality.”
