Sustainable Energy and Environment Forum

Is an “academic and scientific forum of Asia-Pacific” working on “global warming and climate change in relation to energy security issues.” It “calls for strong and committed cooperations and participation in seeking sustainable solutions for these environmental and energy problems.” Its New Energy Initiative strives for a “transition to a more efficient and renewable energy sources for the fast-growing Asia-Pacific economies.“

Objectives:

  • Act with resolve and urgency to meet the interrelated multiple goals of addressing global warming and energy security by contributing to the New Energy Initiative.
  • Respond to global warming through international cooperation, based on the principle of common but differentiated responsibilities and respective capabilities, with a view to achieving the New Energy Initiative.
  • Work together to establish the sustainable energy system, to facilitate achievement of harmonious coexistence within human and ecological community on this planet.
