International Geosphere-Biosphere Programme

Is a “network of over 10,000 researchers and stakeholders in global change and global sustainability research.” This research program “studies the phenomenon of Global Change and coordinates international research on global-scale and regional-scale interactions between Earth’s biological, chemical and physical processes and their interactions with human systems.” IGBP strives to “provide essential scientific leadership and knowledge of the Earth system to help guide society onto a sustainable pathway during rapid global change.”
