The International Food Policy Research Institute provides “research-based policy solutions to sustainably reduce poverty and end hunger and malnutrition in developing countries” in order to improve the understanding of national agricultural and food policies to promote the adoption of innovations in agricultural technology. It works in over 50 countries as a CGIAR Research Center. The Institute has a number of research areas, including; fostering climate-resilient & sustainable food supply, promoting healthy diets and nutrition for all, building inclusive and efficient markets, trade systems, and food industry, transforming agricultural and rural economies, strengthening institutions and governance and, cross-cutting themes on gender.
