An international alliance of cities and local governments with a long-term vision of promoting and supporting voluntary action to combat climate change and moving to a low emission, resilient society.
Includes 9,000+ cities and local governments from six continents and 127 countries, representing more than 770 million residents. Predecessor was the EU Covenant of Mayors. The Global Covenant was officially formed in 2017.
