Actuaries Climate Index
(2016; Washington, Ottawa;

An index designed as a monitoring tool and an indicator of the “frequency of extreme weather and the extent of sea level change.”  It is sponsored by actuary associations from the US and Canada, to inform actuaries, policymakers and the public about climate trends and their potential impacts in 12 North American regions.

The Index is a compound variable based on six indicators: High temperatures; Low temperatures; Heavy rainfall; Drought; High wind; and Sea level.
