The foundation funds two programs, the first concerned with human rights, the second with climate change in the Baltic Sea. They believe that these issues require a collaborative approach. “One in which NGOs, funders, governments and individuals work together to achieve action and change” and as such they “seek organisations with strong leadership and that have the ability to scale their work and sustain their impact over the long-term period.”
The human rights focus partners with organizations working for just and sustainable outcomes. Some current partners are:
- Civitas Maxima
- European Human Rights Funders Network (Ariadne)
- Freedom Fund
- Fund for Global Human Rights
- Human Rights Data Analysis Group
- Human Rights Watch
The climate change focus, Race for the Baltic, convenes municipalities, businesses, and researchers to solve the eutrophication and other problems caused by climate change in the Baltic Sea.
