World Investment Forum

Founding Year: 2008



The biennial World Investment Forum is organized by the United Nations Conference on Trade and Development (UNCTAD) to promote investment for sustainable development.

The forum brings together diverse policymakers:

  • government officials responsible for investment;
  • representatives from the private sector;
  • international organizations working in the area of sustainable development and poverty reduction;
  • thought leaders from academia and research institutions.

The WIF provides a global platform for engagement and dialogue on emerging and key issues related to investing for sustainable development.
