It is a focal point for UN-DESA, ECOSOC and the General Assembly for all UN Sustainable Development policies, facilitating women’s civil society input into the United Nations’ policy space. The WMG is self-organized and open to all organizations interested in promoting sustainable development based on human rights, focusing on women’s human rights, empowerment, and gender equality.
