It strives to form “the global agenda” by delivering a reliable “assessment of global political and economic issues” as well as promoting “dialogue among the global intellectual elite in order to find solutions to overcome the crises of the international system” with the help of “opinion-makers across various fields.” As of 2014, the Foundation for Development and Support of the Valdai Discussion Club “assumed all responsibility for management of the Club’s projects.”
