Is an organization working on “strengthening environmental research” based on a deep belief that “human activities lie at the core of most environmental problems, and human creativity and collaboration are at the heart of solving the problems these activities create.” It supports “the transition to a more environmentally resilient, stable, and sustainable planet” by offering grants to support organizations addressing “threats caused by climate change, unsustainable consumption, and loss of biodiversity.” VKRF has granted some $120m to 120 organizations since 1991.
