Is an international organization comprised of over 1000 cities, governments, and municipal associations across 95 countries. It aims to “defend the interests of local governments on the world stage, regardless of the size of the communities they serve” through “collaboration, dialogue, cooperation, and knowledge-sharing.” UCLG also strives to “advance global response and action through ground breaking commitments and agreements” thus transcending “borders and tying communities together, to uplift and empower the local level.”
