It was founded on recognizing that digital data can help better understand human well-being changes and provide real-time feedback on how well policy solutions are working. It envisions a society in which responsible and inclusive digital innovation serves people, advances their sustainable development, and protects the environment. It is a UN Secretary-General’s initiative.
