The IER focuses on economic and social research, policy consulting, and civil society development in Ukraine. Since 2019, it has been the EU’s strategic partner supporting civil society across Ukraine. It was founded by top-ranking Ukrainian politicians and scientists, along with the German Advisory Group on Economic Reforms in Ukraine, as part of Germany’s TRANSFORM program.
