Pavan Sukhdev (led the study)

It is a global initiative, which is focused in spreading the values of biodiversity and ecosystem services into decision-making at all levels. To do so, it follows a structured approach to valuation, which helps “decision-makers recognize the wide range of benefits provided by ecosystems and biodiversity, demonstrate their values in economic terms and, where appropriate, capture those values in decision-making.” The study was led by Pavan Sukhdev from 2007 to 2011.
