PEER assists federal, state and local public employees in legally “fighting for the ethical management of our natural resources, strong environmental laws, and policies, and accountability and transparency in government actions”, supporting them in their attempt to “a higher standard of environmental ethics and scientific integrity within their agency.” It does this by “defending whistleblowers, shinning the light on improper or illegal government actions, working to improve laws and regulations, and supporting the work of other organizations.”
