The development charity was formerly known as the Intermediate Technology Development Group.  It puts “ingenious ideas to work so people in poverty can change their world”. It works in four regions of the developing world, where it helps “poor communities to develop appropriate technologies in renewable energy, food production, agro-processing, water, sanitation, small enterprise development, building and shelter, climate change adaptation and disaster risk reduction.”
