A research and grantmaking foundation that makes donations based on the theory of effective altruism. Its purpose is to serve people as much as possible using its resources. The organization does not have a mission around a cause area. Instead, it does “substantial empirical research” before funding projects that “deliver the greatest social benefits as efficiently as possible”.
