The foundation is financed through the revenue of the water brand One that was established with the vision to create “a world in which everyone has access to clean and safe water, forever.” Over 2 million people die every year from waterborne diseases and the lack of access to safe water leaves families trapped in poverty, as they are forced to spend up to 4 hours a day collecting water at the expense of working or attending school. Engages in water and sanitation programs, pump repair, community training and school feeding programs. Their 2016-2020 strategy focuses on Rwanda, Kenya, Malawi and Ghana. Pioneers “sustainable approaches to ending water poverty. Significant focus on recycling, which conserves energy and carbon and avoids the pollution caused by having to extract, mine, and process new resources. The water sales have raised over £17.4m for their ongoing water projects in 8 African countries and Yemen.”
