The nonpartisan, nonprofit organization works “to give voice to the Iranian-American community.” Following the September 11 attacks, the “NIAC emerged as a leader, addressing the difficult issues facing our community.” In 2015, NIAC Action was established with the aim to “build political power for Iranian Americans and to champion the priorities of our community.” To do so, they “utilize grassroots advocacy, undertake direct lobbying efforts in Washington DC, and engage political candidates.”
