Is an “independent, non-profit, non-governmental, environmental organization of medical doctors working to defend the environment both locally and globally.” It strives to “prevent numerous illnesses, ensure the necessary conditions for health, and improve the quality of life.” ISDE has national and regional member organizations in over 35 countries. It sponsors a Scientific Center and International School on Environment and Health, based in Italy.
