It is an internationally renowned center, which focuses on activities that are related to the design of climate policy and related governance issues. They release an annual assessment of global think tanks. It is sponsored by its National Member Organizations in Africa, Asia, Europe, and the Americas. but its “research is independent and completely unconstrained by political or national self-interest.” The research areas covered link a variety of natural and social science disciplines, and it looks at environmental, economic, technological, and social developments.
