Is an academic institution where high-quality scientific research is conducted. It aims to promote the development of ecology as a scientific discipline. Consequently, it carries out high-quality research, trains researchers and professionals in ecology, participates in the dissemination of scientific knowledge on ecological issues, and participates in projects aimed at solving environmental problems in Mexico and the world.
