The Institute for Policy Studies is a think tank striving for a more equitable, sustainable, and peaceful society. In particular, it “focuses on U.S. foreign policy, domestic policy, human rights, international economics, and national security.” Historically, it “has served as a policy and research resource for visionary social justice movements”. Currently, it “is organized into several interdisciplinary programs and initiatives” reflecting their scholars’ diverse areas of expertise such as economic justice; racial & gender justice; climate justice; peace & foreign policy; and leadership programs.



    • The Military and Climate Security Budgets Compared (October 2016, 43p) – It is a report of a comparative study between budgets to address the overwhelming expense and focus on traditional notions of security instead of aiming for a broader scope.
