An “inter-governmental security forum held annually by the International Institute for Strategic Studies (IISS)” convening defence and military heads from 28 Asia Pacific states including the United States and Russia. The defence summit is a “unique meeting where ministers debate the region’s most pressing security challenges, engage in important bilateral talks and come up with fresh approaches together.”
